If a man lives on the moon, he’s a moon-man. Therefore if a Spider-Man is on the moon, he’s a Spider Moon-Man… right? Well here we have the first and last appearance of Spider Moon-Man from the universe known as Earth-443. This was one of the events showing what Morlun was doing in the days leading up to the events of Spider-Verse. Turns out he’s killing and feeding on Spider-Men.
In the pages leading up to this scene, Peter Parker is awoken in the middle of the night by a phone call from J. Jonah Jameson yelling at Peter that a crazy man is in Central Park attacking people and that he should go there to get pictures. Peter of course rushes to the scene as Spider-Man, and he is quickly, and brutally, murdered. I felt really bad for this Peter as he never even knew what was coming, and seems to die before he has an inkling of the amount of danger he’s in.
Poor guy. 😦
